Glass Fountain are proud to present Live at the Belfry, an E.P. and video release recorded at Melbourne’s famed Bakehouse Studio’s Belfry room capturing Glass Fountain’s eclectic and engaging live show. From the smooth house of lead single ‘Forget It’, the indie-tinged late-night grooves of ‘Crow Flies’ to the moody IDM of ‘Fatal Floor’,  Live at the Belfry perfectly showcases Glass Fountain’s stuttering modular bleeps, atmospheric synths and intricately layered arrangements all underpinned by the live drums and bass at the core of their sound. The beautifully shot accompanying videos present Glass Fountain performing among the wood panels and retro lamps of The Belfry’s carefully curated decor.

Live at the Belfry is out on all streaming platforms February 28th, while the live video will be available on Glass Fountain’s youtube channel the same day.

Glass Fountain are a cutting-edge electronic music duo based in Melbourne/Naarm (Australia) made up of members Benjamin Graham and James O’Brien. Glass Fountain make texture-heavy, rhythmically orientated instrumental music that freely mixes electronic and acoustic components with influences from ambient, house, pop and jazz.

Originally meeting while performing as the rhythm section for a psychedelic country singer, O’Brien and Graham soon realised they had a shared interest in electronic music. Glass Fountain set themselves apart by avoiding laptops in favour of meticulously synced analogue hardware, modular synths and samplers, while keeping a live drum kit and bass guitar at the core of their sound. Glass Fountain’s approach combines head-nodding beats with live improvisation and freely mixes immediacy with risk-taking. Their live sets can move from thumping house tracks to dark electronica and back again in the blink of an eye.
